🧴 Skin and Venereal Diseases (Dermatology) 

General Description

The Department of Dermatology and Venereal Diseases is a branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of skin, hair, nail and sexually transmitted diseases.

Our hospital's Dermatology unit offers comprehensive services aimed at protecting and treating skin health, both aesthetically and medically. We take a patient-centered, scientific, and holistic approach to treating chronic skin conditions, as well as infections, allergies, and immune system disorders.


Services Provided

  • Diagnosis and treatment of chronic skin diseases such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, vitiligo

  • Hair loss (alopecia), nail diseases

  • Allergic skin reactions and contact dermatitis

  • Skin infections caused by fungi, bacteria and viruses

  • Skin cancer screening and early detection

  • Mole (nevus) follow-up and dermatoscopic examination

  • Minor interventional procedures such as cryotherapy (freezing), electrocautery, biopsy

  • Diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases (venereal diseases)

Diagnosis is made using ancillary tests such as dermatoscopy, biopsy, and fungal culture. Treatments are planned individually for each patient.


Education and Academic Activities

The department provides training to medical students on skin anatomy, disease diagnosis and treatment approaches, and clinical observation.

  • Interventional procedure applications

  • Scientific publication production and participation in dermatology congresses
    is carried out regularly.
