Brain and Nerve Surgery (Neurosurgery) is the field of expertise that performs the diagnosis and surgical treatment of diseases of the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nervous system.
The Department of Brain and Nerve Surgery at our hospital, with its advanced technological infrastructure and multidisciplinary approach, performs a wide range of neurosurgical interventions, from traumas to tumors, from hernias to vascular occlusions.
In both emergency interventions and planned surgeries, the principles of patient safety, detailed evaluation and individualized treatment are followed.
The main services performed by our unit are as follows:
Surgery of brain tumors (benign/malignant)

Hand/arm/thigh numbness due to nerve compression
Epilepsy and Parkinson's surgery (in selected cases)
Surgeries are performed using microscopic, endoscopic and minimally invasive techniques, maximizing patient comfort and recovery time.
The Department of Brain and Nerve Surgery provides training to medical students in neuroanatomy, clinical neurological examination, and surgical techniques.
Moreover:
Cadaver courses
Neuronavigation training
Clinical case meetings
Scientific research and publications
is actively maintained.
