♂️ Andrology Science

General Description

Andrology is a subspecialty within the Department of Urology that deals with the male reproductive system and sexual dysfunction. It can be considered the counterpart in men's health to the role of gynecology in women's health.

The Andrology Department at our hospital provides services with its specialized academic staff and up-to-date technological equipment in the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of male infertility, erectile dysfunction, hormone disorders and sexual dysfunctions.


Services Provided

  • Diagnosis and treatment of male infertility

  • Sperm analysis (spermiogram), hormone tests, advanced andrological examinations

  • Treatment of erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation

  • Varicocele diagnosis and treatment with microscopic surgery

  • Assisted reproductive surgeries such as vasectomy and micro TESE

  • Hypogonadism and testicular dysfunction

  • Penile prosthesis, medication and injection treatment options

  • Pubertal disorders, developmental andrological problems

Diagnostic and treatment processes are carried out in coordination with endocrinology, psychiatry, radiology and laboratory units.


Education and Academic Activities

The Department of Andrology offers the following services to medical students and urology residents:

  • Clinical evaluation training for the male reproductive system

  • Current treatment approaches in sexual dysfunctions

  • Interaction between reproductive health and the endocrine system

  • Andrological case discussions and literature presentations

  • Clinical research and scientific publications
