Ulnar Tunnel Syndrome

Definition

Ulnar tunnel syndrome is a neuropathy that develops as a result of compression of the ulnar nerve at the elbow or wrist level.

Symptoms

  • Numbness in the 4th and 5th fingers
  • Weakness in the hand
  • Decreased fine motor skills
  • Pain on the inner side of the elbow

Reasons

Repetitive elbow flexion, trauma.

Diagnosis

EMG, physical examination.

Treatment

Elbow protector, surgical.
