Somatostatinoma is a very rare neuroendocrine tumor originating from the pancreas or duodenum that secretes excess somatostatin.
Symptoms
- Diabetes

- Steatorrhea (oily stools)
- Weight loss
Reasons
Sporadic or associated with neurofibromatosis type 1.
Diagnosis
High somatostatin level in blood, imaging.
Treatment
Surgical resection.
