Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin disease characterized by facial redness, red bumps and dilated blood vessels.
Symptoms
- Redness on the cheeks, nose, and forehead
- Small red blisters
- Burning and redness in the eyes
- Swelling and thickening of the nose (rhinophyma)

Genetic predisposition, vascular sensitivity, Demodex mites, sun damage.
Diagnosis
Clinical examination, skin biopsy.
Treatment
Topical metronidazole, azelaic acid, oral antibiotics, laser therapy.
