Primary dysmenorrhea is pain that occurs during menstruation without any organic pathology.

Symptoms

  • Cramp-like pain during menstruation

Increased prostaglandin, uterine contractions.

Clinical history, pelvic examination.

Treatment

NSAIDs, birth control pills, heat application.
