Definition
Bell's palsy is a sudden, idiopathic peripheral paralysis of the facial nerve.
Symptoms
- Sagging on one side of the face
- Inability to close the eyes
- Slipping in the mouth
- Taste disorder
Reasons
Viral infection, autoimmune reaction.
Diagnosis
Clinical examination, EMG.
Treatment
Corticosteroids, antiviral drugs.
