In collaboration with the Dean's Office of the KSÜ Faculty of Medicine and the Hospital Education Coordination Office, and as part of educational management, a training session on "Tuberculosis (TB)" was given to healthcare professionals and administrators by Prof. Dr. Hasan KAHRAMAN, a faculty member of the Department of Chest Diseases, on January 9, 2026, to our hospital's healthcare professionals and students, due to the 79th Tuberculosis Education and Awareness Week.
During the training sessions, information was provided on general hygiene, healthy eating, respiratory diseases, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis, prevention methods, and directly observed treatment. The following points were emphasized: "tuberculosis is a preventable disease," "tuberculosis can be treated with regular medication," "contact tracing should be carried out promptly for those who have been in contact with patients to initiate preventive treatment," and "the benefits of early diagnosis and treatment.".
