A significant training activity was carried out within the scope of the 2025 Hospital Disaster and Emergency Plan (HAP) prepared by the Emergency Disaster and Emergency Management and Civil Defense Unit Coordination Office of Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University (KSÜ) Health Application and Research Hospital. In line with the plan, experts from the Kahramanmaraş Provincial Disaster and Emergency Management Directorate provided training to healthcare personnel working in the hospital's Emergency Department on responding to Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) incidents.
During the training process;
* Measures to be taken against possible CBRN threats and hazards,
* Use of personal protective equipment by personnel,
* Safe evacuation of the sick and injured,
* Disinfection and decontamination practices were discussed.
The hospital administration stated that this training strengthened the level of preparedness for potential disasters and emergencies. It was emphasized that KSÜ Health Practice and Research Hospital is continuously working to be at the highest level of preparedness against all risks that could threaten public health.
